We are pleased to announce the scholarship program for the 2009 school year. The program will offer $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are actively serving or have a parent actively serving Camden County in a public safety capacity. One scholarship will be awarded in each Public Safety discipline (Police, Fire, EMS). Applications will be judged on the basis of S.A.T. scores, class standing, citizenship and family financial need. If there are no qualified applicants, no award will be made.
In honor of a very special friend of the Camden County Hero Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship is offered in the name of the late Chief Gary R. Cline, who served the Merchantville Police Dept. The amount of this scholarship is determined annually and is offered to all graduating high school seniors planning to pursue a career in law enforcement.
